ABOUT
I’m a ceramicist based in Austin, Texas, creating one-of-a-kind vessels that explore shape, surface, and form.
I first started working with clay as a creative outlet outside of my graphic design studio. What began as simple curiosity quickly became something more—an unexpected balance of focus, rhythm, and discovery.
Over time, I found myself especially drawn to the weedpot: small vessels made not to hold water, but to hold a single dried stem. The process of refining this form, again and again, continues to be one of the most satisfying parts of my practice.
Thank you for taking the time to connect with my work—it means a lot.

Artist statement
My ceramic work is inspired by the philosophy that beauty lies in simplicity and the subtle details that often go unnoticed. Drawing inspiration from mid-century-modern design, the primary focus of my work lies in decorative vessels, termed ‘weedpots’ by the great ceramicist Doyle Lane. These vases focus on form rather than function, and are designed to hold a single dried stem.
Each piece is a contemplation in clay, an exploration of curves, textures, and the interplay of light and shadow. I believe in the quiet power of understated elegance, where each vessel serves as a gentle complement to the home’s decor rather than commanding center stage.
I strive to create pieces that blend seamlessly with their surroundings, adding a touch of serenity and sophistication without overwhelming the senses. These vessels are small sculptures, each with its own personality and story, contributing to the narrative of the home in a modest yet meaningful way.
IN THE SHOP
This piece is part of a small five-piece series finished in a lava glaze I developed through extensive testing. The glaze requires very specific firing conditions to create its cratered, layered surface, conditions that have since changed at my community studio, making this series limited for the foreseeable future.
On this form, the glaze melted into a smooth, cratered surface, gathering in thick pools and thinning across other areas. The result is a surface full of depth and natural variation.
Some areas may be sharp; please handle with care.

This wheel-thrown weedpot is made from dark stoneware and finished in a crawling shino glaze. As the glaze shrinks and cracks, the firing process pulls it further from the surface, revealing glimpses of the clay beneath. The result is a textured, layered surface full of movement and subtle contrasts, unique to each piece. This piece is especially textured. The glaze was applied thickly, creating a dramatically raised beaded surface.
